Roving Naturalist    
Saturday, September 29 at 9 a.m.     
Thompson Park, Lincroft - Meet in the Marlu Lake parking area.
Join our Roving Naturalist for a walk and discuss seasonal points of interest, search for signs of wildlife, and identify a bird or two. This is a 1.5-2 hour program, but feel free to join in or drop out at any point. Dress for the weather as light rain is not a deterrent. FREE!  

Eek-O-Fabulous Costume Swap Drop Off
   
Saturday, September 29 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.     
Dorbrook Recreation Area Visitor Center, Colts Neck
Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls
Huber Woods Environmental Center, Middletown
Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, Howell
Thompson Park Visitor Center, Lincroft
Upcycle gently used kids’, adults’, and even pet costumes for a spooktacular new-to-you ensemble. Costumes must be dropped off in advance at one of the locations above. For each costume you bring, receive a token entitling you to a "new" costume the day of the swap.
The Swap is Sunday, September 30 from 12-2 p.m. at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls. FREE!

Play basketball in our climate controlled, indoor gymnasium! Our lobby table games including air hockey and ping pong will be available as well. Ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The cost is $5 per person per day; cash or check only.

Historic Battery Lewis Tours
Saturday & Sunday, September 29 & 30
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Rocky Point section, Hartshorne Woods Park, Highlands
Tour the newly restored Historic Battery Lewis and learn about the history of this important former coastal defense site. Tours start on the hour. Last tour begins at 3 p.m. Open for tours every week, Thursday-Sunday until October 28.  FREE! 

Mill Demonstration
Saturday & Sunday, September 29 & 30
from 1-4 p.m.
Historic Walnford, Upper Freehold
See the 19th century gristmill in action. Weekend and holiday demonstrations run through November. FREE! 

Harvest Home Festival   
Sunday, September 30 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.          
Historic Longstreet Farm, Holmdel
This old-fashioned fair is reminiscent of the 1890s. Visitors can enjoy wagon rides, games and live entertainment. There are also ongoing crafts demonstrations and a Home & Garden competition. Admission and parking are free.

Eek-O-Fabulous Costume Swap

Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls
Trade in the tokens you received during the costume drop off dates to get a “new” costume during today's swap! Almost due or have a newborn? No token required for baby’s costume.

Seabrook-Wilson House - Open     
Sunday, September 30 from 1-4 p.m.    
Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth
Visit this house, which dates back to the early 1700s, and see displays on the ecology of the bay and local history. FREE!
