Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 

Held at the recently refurbished Skateplex, this amateur skateboarding contest also features local skateboard and food vendors. Competitors will have the chance to compete against other skaters on the street course for awards in different age categories. There will also be a Bowl Contest for skaters looking to show off their skills. Event admission and parking are free. Click here for details

Skater Located off Atlantic Avenue at the north end of Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, the Skateplex underwent a massive redesign that replaced nearly all of the existing features with a new concrete street course. 

Designed to allow skaters to move seamlessly through its features, the Skateplex features include:

  • Hip
  • Skateable planters
  • Elevated plaza with stairs, rails, euro gap, and hubba ledges
  • A frame Funbox with bump to bump
  • Funbox with ledge, rail, and 3 stairs
  • Manual Pads
  • Quater Pipes
  • Ribbon QP combo
  • Grind-rails

The Skateplex is open year-round, 8 a.m. to dusk and use is subject to weather/safety conditions. Admission to the Skateplex is free all year.

The Park System offers skateboarding lessons and one-day clinics at the Skateplex during the warmer months. Any upcoming classes will be list under Kids & Teen Sports & Fitness Offerings on our registration page.

NOTE: Users under the age of 17 must wear a helmet (see Regulation #3).  It is recommended that users age 17 and older wear a properly fitted and fastened ANSI or SNELL approved helmet.  Elbow pads, kneepads, and wrist guards are recommended for all users of the Skatepark.
