This Port Monmouth park, located next to Monmouth Cove Marina, offers a fishing pier, access to Raritan Bay, and beautiful views of the NY skyline. The Park System continues to add to this site's 227 acres in the Bayshore area.
This site is also home of the Bayshore Waterfront Park Activity Center (Seabrook-Wilson House), one of the oldest surviving houses in the region. This large frame building, dating back to the early 1700's, was constructed in several phases over the course of two hundred years. The Park System acquired the building from Middletown Township in 1998. The building has been restored and now serves as an Activity Center where its primary function will be for Park System nature and history programs. The first floor includes a reception area, program room, exhibit areas, and a restroom. Exhibits are under development and will be installed over the next two years (2010-2011).
The building is currently open when used for Park System programs. Upcoming programs include:
- Whales, Dolphins & Seals of the Jersey Shore
- Little Horsehoe Crab Visit the Bay
- Lantern Tour of Sandy Hook Bay
More programs will be posted as they become available. Check back for updated listings.

Please be aware that starting in 2010, the National Saltwater Angler Registey Program requires most New Jersey saltwater anglers age 16 and up to register if they fish for anadromous species - fish that are born in fresh water, migrate to the ocean to grow into adults, and then return to fresh water to spawn - such as striped bass, smelt, shad or river herring. For more information regarding the registration, click here.
