Beachcombing 101

(ages 8 and up, with adult)

Find out what coastal treasures are hidden in the seaweed and sand this summer! This fun and interesting program is devoted to answering all your questions you might have about seashells, beachcombing, cleaning seashells, identifying your shells, and more! Stroll along a low tide bay beach with a park naturalist as the sun sets over the water as we look for shells, eggcases, and other signs of marine life. Afterwards, we will go inside to identify and learn how to preserve what we discovered. Please dress for the weather, wear shoes that can get wet, and bring an old cloth bag or a small bucket to collect shells.
