Wild Ducks of the Jersey Shore

(ages 16 and up)

The Jersey Shore is known for its summer "wildlife". However, the Jersey Shore's winter wildlife is just as hot. Every winter huge flocks of waterfowl invade local ponds, the backwater bays and the ocean. Mergansers, Redheads, Canvasbacks, Scoters and Eiders are a few of the regular visitors to Monmouth County's winter shoreline. Join a Park System Naturalist as we scan the local waters for these wild and wonderful birds.
