Environmental Education Internship at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth
Lead a public seining program three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Related tasks include, but are not limited to, interpreting to park visitors the aquatic specimens collected during the seining program, and aquatic animal feeding and care in display aquariums. In addition, you will assist with other seining programs, special events, camps, and kayak programs. The selected individual should expect to spend most days outside. This position also interacts in many ways with the public. This will be a unique, memorable and highly rewarding internship. You will acquire a greater understanding and appreciation for environmental education, estuarine ecology, and for the physical work involved in educating the public about their local environment.
Hours: 10-15 hours per week, may include evenings
Dates: Early June to late August (approximately)
Pay: $12 per hour
