Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, Long Branch, is seeking ocean rescue lifeguards for the 2024 summer season.
Hours: 40 hours per week; including weekends and some evenings (May-September)
Pay: $17 per hour & up; DOE
Requirements: Must pass swimming and running tests. Paid on-the-job training and certification provided, but current CPR and first aid training a plus.
Duties: Responsible for carrying out a full-range of lifeguard and surf rescue duties on an active beachfront, including but not limited to overseeing the general safety of swimmers, performing rescues and providing minor first aid. May also assist Park Rangers with miscellaneous duties and in enforcing the rules and regulations of the Monmouth County Park System. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of coworkers and beach patrons, and be willing to participate in intense physical fitness training on a daily basis.
