2020
Visitation - park visits topped 9 million! This 30% increase in park attendance and golf rounds occurred over a technically shorter operational year since facilities closed mid-March to May 2 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The increase in park attendance and steady program participation underscored how critical open spaces were--and are--in times of crisis.
A total of 243 new acres (20 parcels) were added to 11 park properties in 2020 for a total of 17,797 acres owned or managed by the Park System.

2021

2022
The
E. Murray Todd Half Marathon
returned with 146 competitors.
Renovation of the Hominy Hill Golf Course Clubhouse was completed. This multi-year project retained the charm of the original design while expanding the building's use for social events.
Nearly 89 acres (16 parcels) were added to the park properties for a total of 18,091 acres owned/managed throughout the county.
