Senior Hike Leader

Lead senior hiking groups through various Monmouth County parks. Create and submit scheduled dates and locations of hikes. Act as a primary responder in an emergency situation within training and capability. Hiking experience is a must as hikes will be approximately 2 hours and may vary between 4-6 miles.

Skills needed in order to effectively lead the program:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrate a level of fitness conditioning appropriate for expected activities and reserves that would be sufficient for emergency response.
  • Knowledge and experience hiking between 2-6 miles, map reading skills, people skills.
  • Ability to safely alter or adapt the hike if necessary.
  • CPR/FA/AED Training (will provide if needed)

    Location: Various county parks

    Pay:  $12 per hour
