Lead senior hiking groups through various Monmouth County parks. Create and submit scheduled dates and locations of hikes. Act as a primary responder in an emergency situation within training and capability. Hiking experience is a must as hikes will be approximately 2 hours and may vary between 4-6 miles.
Skills needed in order to effectively lead the program:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- May be required to obtain a Class “C” Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger Endorsement.
- Demonstrate a level of fitness conditioning appropriate for expected activities.
- Ability to read and orient a topographical map.
- Ability to safely alter or adapt the hike if necessary.
- CPR/FA Training (can be provided)
Location: Various county parks
Pay: $12 per hour
