Attracting & Sustaining Birds Through the Winter

Winter weather can be harsh on birds and other wildlife. Learn about the birds that spend the winter in Monmouth County, as well as ways to create a backyard habitat by providing food, water and shelter to help birds survive and brighten your winter landscape. We’ll discuss both natural solutions as well as products like bird feeders and the proper foods to serve. Weather permitting, we will take a walk through the park to identify various habitat elements and any birds we hear/see. This class is geared for an adult audience, but mature children are welcome to register with an adult. Instructor: David Saidnawey, Owner, Wild Birds Unlimited, Middletown
