Everyone loves the cooking shows and the flames that flash on the screen! So, let's learn how and why it's done. Flambé puts the finishing touch on many foods and tonight you'll make some of them. Let's start with desserts - everyone will make an individual Baked Alaska. This delicious and simple classic ice cream, cake and meringue always wows folks. And everyone will torch their own crème brûlée. Then some classic entrées: tender veal marsala with wild mushrooms; steak au poivre bathed with cognac and a touch of butter; shrimp sautéed with garlic and vermouth; and pork medallions with orange and Dijon. Then, let's sit down to enjoy these entrées with vegetables and potatoes to round out this smoking meal. Please bring your knife and apron to this hands-on class. Instructor: Chef Peter De Celie
