Guarded Swimming at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park
Ocean Avenue, Long Branch       
Lifeguards are on duty weekends starting Saturday, May 25 until daily guarded swimming begins on Saturday, June 15. Guarded swimming hours are from 10am-5pm daily. Remember – swimming is only permitted when lifeguards are present. Season beach badges for 2013 are currently available.  Cash or check only, sorry no credit cards. Prices are:

  • $45 for ages 13 to 17
  • $65 for adults 18 to 64
  • $25 for adults 65 and older 

Weekday beach fees are $7 for individuals 18 years old and over; those 17 and under are free. On weekends and holidays, the fee is $7 for individuals 13 and over; those 12 and younger are free. The cost of a daily parking pass is $7.

Beach badges are valid until September 3. Season parking passes are $65. Beach and parking fees are charged on weekends and holidays starting Saturday, May 25 and daily from Saturday, June 15 through Monday, September 2.
Both daily and seasonal beach badges are available for purchase at the Seven Presidents pavilion located on Ocean Avenue in Long Branch from 9am-4pm on weekends and holidays and daily beginning June 15. For further information, call 732-229-0924 during the beach season. Season beach badges and parking passes are also available at Park System Headquarters, Thompson Park, Lincroft from March 20-June 28, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.


Golf   
Tee off this summer at one of the Park System golf courses. Whether you’re just getting started or are an old pro, the Park System has a golf course that’s sure to be a perfect match. Choose among Bel-Aire, Wall; Charleston Springs, Millstone; Hominy Hill, Colts Neck; Howell Park, Howell; Pine Brook, Manalapan; and Shark River, Neptune. Summer Seining at Bayshore Waterfront Park
Port Monmouth Road, Port Monmouth  
Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, June 24 through August 23, from 11am-12noon 
 
Discover fish, crabs and other critters of Sandy Hook Bay as Park System Naturalists pull a seine net through the water. Children ages 5 and up (under 18 with an adult) are invited to join help haul the net through the water. Please note that this is not a swimming program and closed-toe shoes must be worn. This program is designed for individuals and families; not groups. For more information or arrange for a group, please call 732-872-7369.

 

Boat Rentals at the Manasquan Reservoir
Windeler Road, Howell

At the Visitor Center, park patrons ages 18 and older can rent either rowboats (1-hr $12.15 or 4-hrs $34.35); electric motor powered rowboats (4-hrs $44.86); or kayaks (1-hr single person $14.02 or 1-hr double person $20.09). Cash or personal checks only; credit cards not accepted. A $10 deposit is required for 1 hour rentals and a $20 deposit is required for 4 hour rentals. Motor boat rentals begin April 1-October 31 and kayak rentals from May 4-October 31. (Prices do not include sales tax.)

Canoe & Paddleboat Rentals at Turkey Swamp Park
Georgia Road, Freehold
      
A major attraction at this park is the 17-acre lake where you can fish for bass, catfish, and bluegills either from the shore or from canoes and paddleboats (available for rental).
The cost of boat rentals is as follows:

  • 1 hour - $12.15 + tax
  • each additional 15 minutes - $4.21 + tax 
  • A refundable deposit of $10 is required for individual rentals. Group rentals are available; deposit of $50 is required.

Canoe Rentals at Thompson Park
Newman Springs Road, Lincroft
A limited number of canoes are available first come, first served from 9am-3pm on the following dates:
  • Saturday & Sunday, July 6 & 7
  • Sunday, July 14
  • Saturday & Sunday, July 20 & 21
  • Saturday & Sunday, August 3 & 4
  • Saturday & Sunday, August 17 & 18
  • Saturday & Sunday, September 7 & 8
The fee is $15 per canoe for 2 hours. Canoes accommodate 1-3 people. All equipment provided. Cash or check only.

Boat Tours at the Manasquan Reservoir
Windeler Road, Howell
  
Enjoy a Park System Naturalist-led boat tour of the beautiful Manasquan Reservoir. Tours are offered on weekends and holidays through October 14 (weather permitting). Lasting approximately 45 minutes, tours begin at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm & 5pm and leave from the dock by the Visitor Center. Boat tours are also offered Wednesday afternoons at 2pm, 3pm & 4pm, July 3 through August 28. Evening tours are also available the first Friday of each month, June through September.  Please call 732-751-9453 for Friday evening tour times as they may vary.

Each tour includes excellent opportunities to view turtles, egrets, herons, osprey, and perhaps even one of our resident Bald Eagles. The fee is $5.61 per adult and $3.50 per child 12 and under (tax not included). For more information about the boat tours, call 732-751-9453.
