This site was acquired from the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) and includes the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center - a 21,000 square foot building that is the Park System's first ever indoor recreation facility. Perfect for an array of programs including arts & crafts, sports, exercise classes, and special events, the Rec Center offers a wide variety of amenities including classrooms, gymnasium, and a game room.

DROP-IN PROGRAMS AT THE REC CENTER: 

Drop-In Rates
Open gym time fees: $5 per person per visit or $30 per monthly pass. With the monthly pass, you are entitled to come as often as you like during that month. Your color coded card can be picked up at the Rec Center. These cards are valid for any open gym time. For more information, please call the Rec Center at 848-456-4278, ext. 1#, 3# or 4#.

Open Gym
Play basketball in our climate controlled, indoor gymnasium! Our lobby table games including air hockey and ping pong will be available as well. Ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The cost is $5 per person per day, or purchase a monthly pass for $30. See schedule.

Pickleball Open Play   
Come play pickleball at the Fort! Three pickleball courts are available for open doubles pickleball play (no instructor). Weather permitting, extra courts will be set up outdoors. Open to ages 16 & up. The cost is $5 per person per session; cash or check only. Play is restricted to 24 players each session with sign-in starting five minutes before Open Play time.  Sessions offered by skill level. What Level Am I? NEW LEVELS ADDED

  • Beginner (Self-rated 1.0-2.0)
  • Beginner Intermediate (Self-rated 2.0-3.0)
  • Advanced Intermediate (Self-rated 3.0-3.5)
  • Advanced (Self-rated 3.5-5.0)

Please visit monmouthpickleball.org/levels to self-assess your level of play. Is your group winning all the time? Try moving up a level to improve your game. Is your group losing all the time? Maybe move down a level for more competitive games to help you continue to grow as a pickleball player.

School’s Out Drop-in Days    
From 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m:   
Monday, January 21 and Monday, February 18      
We promise you won’t be bored on your day off from school! We’ve got Science Exploration Stations, Take Home Kids Creations and Building Fun, plus open gym time. Drop-in at your leisure to enjoy these activities designed for kids ages 5-10 years old, and you can switch between activities as often as you like.  Please Note: This is a self-guided program, adults must remain with their children during entire visit.

Men's Open Gym Basketball  
Sundays from 8-10 a.m.  
When you’re looking for a place to shoot hoops where weather is not a factor, our climate controlled gymnasium is available. The cost is $5 per person, per day; cash or check only.


 

Directions:

Route 35 North or South to light at Tinton Avenue, Eatontown. Take Tinton Avenue west to the light at Hope Road. Turn left on Hope Road, continue 2/10ths of a mile, and turn right at the traffic light onto Corregidor Road. Entrance is on the left. 

From Parkway North or South, Exit 105. Follow exit to traffic light, and take jughandle right onto Hope Rd. Go straight through light, crossing over Route 36. Follow Hope Rd for about a half mile, past the light at Pinebrook Rd. and over RR tracks. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Corregidor Road. Entrance is on left.
