Sweet or savoury, traditional or innovative; bake your favorite cornbread for our contest. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Prepare and bring a 9x13(or equivalent) pan of your cornbread along with a typed copy of the recipe to Historic Walnford, Upper Freehold, between 12:30-1 p.m. The judges rate appearance, texture and flavor, and visitors also sample and vote for their favorites. Join a Park System Naturalist at Fisherman’s Cove Conservation Area, Manasquan, for a total lunar eclipse, the fourth and last in a tetrad, a series of four consecutive eclipses in 2014-2015. Check out the early stages of the penumbral eclipse starting at 8:30 p.m., the partial eclipse starting at 9 p.m., or just come to watch the spectacular appearance of the full eclipse starting at 10:11 p.m. and climaxing at 10:45 p.m.! Experts predict this total lunar eclipse will be 100% visible on the East Coast, weather permitting. Make sure to bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and something warm to wear. Open to ages 7 and up, under 18 with adult. FREE
