This 21,000 square foot recreation center was acquired from the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) and will serve as the Park System's first ever indoor recreation facility. A wide variety of amenities such as classrooms, gymnasium, and game room, makes the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center the perfect location for an array of programs including arts & crafts, sports, exercise classes, and special events.

DROP-IN PROGRAMS: 

Open Gym  
Stop by to have fun in our climate controlled, indoor gymnasium! We’ll have play equipment available as well as the table games in our lobby. Ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. FREE!  Open Gym Schedule - August I Open Gym Schedule - September

Craft Quest - Cultural Edition  
Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.   (all ages)
Discover the Craft Quest Box at the Recreation Center. Each month highlights a different country and features a related craft. Come by for the secret code to access the box to collect your craft kit and passport. Once your project is complete, email a picture of it to rcohen@monmouthcountyparks.com and receive a sticker to place in your passport. When you fill your passport by completing all 12 crafts, you will be sent a Park System drawstring pouch and a certificate of achievement. Family Gym Time   
Wednesdays, October 15-December 31 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
(all ages, under 18 with adult)
Enjoy playtime with other families and make friends in a roomy, indoor space for active play and socialization. We’ll have tunnels, gym mats, trampolines, scooters and other play equipment set up for your entertainment. This is an open play format with no instruction provided; parent supervision is required.
The cost is $10 per family per day; cash or check only.

Teen Night: Basketball, Board Games and More  
Tuesdays June 24-August 26 from 7-8:30 p.m.  
(ages 13-18)
When the heat is high and the bugs are biting, dropin and enjoy our air conditioned, full court gym. If basketball’s not your thing, we have air hockey, foosball and other game tables, as well as some classic board games. Cost: $5 per person, cash or check only.

Men's Open Gym Basketball

When you’re looking for a place to shoot hoops where weather is not a factor, our climate controlled gymnasium is available. The cost is $5 per person per day; cash or check only.

Women's Open Gym - Fitness
From 7:30-9 a.m. on Saturdays, September 13-December 20 (no session November 8)
A self-guided, self-paced fitness circuit in our gymnasium including stability balls, hand weights, resistance bands and more! The cost is $5 per person per day; cash or check only.

Teen Open Gym Basketball
Tuesdays, September 16-December 30 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Ages 13-18 are invited to stop by our indoor gymnasium to shoot hoops. The cost is $5 per person per night; cash or check only.

Teen Open Gym Fitness
Tuesdays, September 16-December 30 from 7-8:30 p.m.
Ages 13-18 are invited to try our informal fitness circuit. We'll have stability balls, hand weights, resistance bands and more! The cost is $5 per person per night; cash or check only.

Games Galore Family Drop-In
Thursday, October 16 from 6-8 p.m.
Sunday, November 9 from 1-3 p.m.
We'll give you a Clue, this is no Trivial Pursuit, family time helps to Connect Four - or more! It's no Trouble, snacks and retro music will be provided too! The cost is $15 per family per day; cash or check only.

Turkey Olympics
Saturday, November 15 from 2-4 p.m.
Celebrate with other families as you complete wacky challenges in a bid to win the Golden Drumstick. Stuff the Turkey, Turkey Bowling and Capture the Turkey are just a few tasks you'll complete, culminating in the Turkey Trot down the length of our full court gym. Don a costume if you like and display your best Thanksgiving spirit! We'll also be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to a local food pantry, which just may earn your team a surprise. The cost is $20 per family; cash or check only.

Directions:
Route 35 North or South to light at Tinton Avenue, Eatontown. Take Tinton Avenue west to the light at Hope Road. Turn left on Hope Road, continue 2/10ths of a mile, and turn right onto Corregidor Road at the blinking light. Once on Corregidor, the entrance is on the left.
