Welcome and orient visitors to the Holmes-Hendrickson House, a rare example of Dutch and English colonial architecture from 1754. Share insights into Monmouth County’s 18th-century history with visitors. Under the direction of management, help visitors make connections between local historical farmsteads and early families in Holmdel Township.
Job responsibilities include giving tours during special events and programs, engaging walk-in visitors, assisting with research and the development of programming, and attending to the general care of the facility and collections. An interest in local history is preferred.
Hours: Seasonal Position; April-October; Saturday-Sunday; weekends required; 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Additional weekday hours available for the right candidate.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age with valid NJ driver's license; Must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with individuals and large groups.
