Are you passionate about early childhood development and creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences? The Monmouth County Park System is seeking a dynamic, creative, and caring Parent & Child Program Instructor to lead a variety of early childhood classes including parent-and-child playgroups, motor skill development, arts & crafts, and Pre-K Prep sessions.
As a Parent & Child Program Instructor, you will lead small classes designed for children ages 18 months to 6 years, accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or guardian. You’ll be responsible for planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities that promote early learning, social interaction, and motor skill development. All materials and supplies are provided. Classes are limited to 12 children and their caregivers per session.
- Plan and lead interactive classes focused on play-based learning
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for children and their caregivers
- Communicate clearly and confidently with small groups of adults and children
- Foster developmental skills through fun, structured activities
- Experience working with young children (18 months – 6 years) in a group setting
- Strong communication and group leadership skills
- Creative, organized, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
- Friendly and approachable with both children and adults
- Locations: Freneau Woods Park, Aberdeen Township & Dorbrook Recreation Area, Colts Neck
- Schedule: Part-time, 5–15 hours per week
- Seasonal: September – June (9 months/year)
- Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience
