
Camp counselors are responsible for working with two to three staff members to lead pre-planned outdoor activities for small groups of children age 6-17. Activities include biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, archery, rock climbing, overnight camping, and more. Counselors serve as positive role models and work on the development of self-confidence, individual responsibility, and outdoor skills.
Dates: June-August
Hours: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday; may include overnights and weekends
Pay: $16.10 per hour
Requirements:
- 17 years of age or older with a valid NJ driver’s license
- Able to attend paid pre-camp training
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Must have interest in and/or knowledge of some activities offered
- Experience working with children is a plus
