Historic Longstreet Farm is seeking Seasonal Historic Site Interpreters for the 2026 operating season. Dressed in period-appropriate attire (costumes provided), interpreters work alongside full-time staff to assist with the care for livestock, cultivate crops and gardens, and the general maintenance of the park grounds. Interpreters also engage with visitors by leading demonstrations and answering general questions about farm life and history.
This position is an excellent fit for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with animals, and sharing a passion for history or education.
Position Details- Hours: 8-hour shifts, typically 7:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m.; summer shifts may run 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Anticipated Start Date: March 1, 2026
- Pay: $16.10 per hour

Requirements:- All training is provided. Candidates should be:
- Willing to learn how to work safely around farm livestock
- Comfortable using various hand tools and cultivating tools
- Confident speaking with both individuals and groups
- Experience in any of these areas is a plus.
