Must be knowledgeable in many broad types of therapeutic recreation activities. Responsible for planning, organizing, promoting, leading, and supervising programs and camps, for all ages and abilities for the citizens of Monmouth County. Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with participants, staff, parents, teachers, and other Park System personnel and must be able to deal with a demanding public in a professional and courteous manner. This position requires the individual to obtain specialized certifications where required, including but not limited to: CPR, and First Aid/AED. The individual must have a good phone etiquette and demonstrate firm computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Webex. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
Salary is $41,500. A bachelor’s degree from a college or university in the field of recreation, or a closely related field is desired, or an equivalent educational experience preferred. CTRS certification is a plus. Must have a valid NJ driver’s license and will be required to obtain a Class C commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement within 3 months of employment. Must satisfy employer paid physical, fingerprint and driver’s license background check. Monmouth County NJ residency preferred. EOE
