Dorbrook Recreation Area Picnic Shelters

To reserve a picnic shelter, please call our reservations office 732-842-4000, ext. 1, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Please note: Gatherings of organized groups or groups of 50 or more are not available at this site.
    

Picnic Shelter at Dorbrook Park

Court Side Picnic Pavilion
Located adjacent to the in-line rink and basketball courts and close to the tennis courts, the pavilion is ADA accessible and a short walk to the playground and Sprayground with access to the paved perimeter trail.  
  • maximum 50 persons 
  • fee: county resident $125 (Spring/Fall) $240 (Summer: May 15-September 15)
          non-resident $190 (Spring/Fall) $345 (Summer: May 15-September 15)
  • Rental of this shelter does not include Sprayground admission. A separate reservation is required.
     
     

Picnic Shelter at Dorbrook Park.

Barn View Picnic Pavilion

Located behind the Activity Center, the pavilion is ADA accessible and a short walk to both the playground, Sprayground and access to the paved perimeter trail.

  • maximum 50 persons.
  • fee: county resident $190 (Spring/Fall) $360 (Summer: May 15-September 15)
            non-resident $285 (Spring/Fall) $520 (Summer: May 15-September 15)
  • Rental of this shelter does not include Sprayground admission. A separate reservation is required.

Field Side Picnic Pavilion

Located near the playing fields, this pavilion is ADA accessible.

Directions

  • Garden State Parkway to Exit 109. Southbound, turn right onto Rt. 520 (Newman Springs Rd.); northbound, turn left onto Rt. 520. Follow Rt. 520 (1.5 miles) to Swimming River Rd., turn left. Follow Swimming River Rd.to Rt. 537 west, turn right. Follow to Area.  
  • State Hwy. 34 to Rt. 537 east. Southbound, turn left; northbound, turn right. Follow Rt. 537 east to Area.
