Welcome to the Elvin McDonald Horticultural Library
Hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Elvin McDonald Library houses approximately 4,000 volumes with an emphasis on home gardening in the Northeast, landscape design, tropical and house plants, herbs, trees and shrubs, individual plant species and more. All visitors are welcome to explore the many resources available. The Elvin McDonald Horticultural Library also receives horticultural related periodicals and plant catalogs.
Open for borrowing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Borrowing privileges may be arranged in person or through

The Seed Exchange Station is up and running!
Whether you have seeds to trade or a seed wish list that’s gone unfulfilled, our Seed Exchange is worth a look. The exchange is in the Horticultural Center conference room, putting the library’s old card catalog cabinet to good use!
